Getting lost in the Highlands

from 18.00

When you are in Scotland, you can drive for hours on these sinuous roads and will never through a gallery. So, hundred percent of the time enjoying these fantastic lands. Furthermore, streets are so quiet (especially if compared to London, where I live) that the only reason for a traffic jam is because of some sheeps are crossing the street! Loch Ness is sorrounded by two roads. The A82, on the west shore, is the main road along the lake and it's the touristic one, because of the several attractions along. On the east shore, there is the B862/B852, a single track road, originally built for military reasons. Even if it's not used by tourists, it offers more spectacular views, like the one in the picture. Since it wasn't busy at all, I caught this opportunity to take a picture in the middle, in order to enhance the feeling of the endless I had when I was there. I was rather lucky for the clouds. I think that day and the last one in Edinburgh were the only ones with an interesting sky. All the others were completely cloudy and rainy. This is a peculiarity of Scotland, and the only reason I was missing the "sunny" London...
